Hi,
I have tried some sample TAPI code -both Julmar's TAPI Wrapper and the
TAPI3 c# -which bring up the "lift receiver and press talk" dialog. I
gather that is because TAPI thinks this is a data modem.
However, the modem supports full duplex voice -the Mobile partner
application from Huawei works fine in making/receiving voice calls.

What do I need to do to get voice calls via TAPI? (This is regular
voice and not VOIP).
p.s:this is a usb modem and i guess inf file tweaks are old hat.

tks,
raj

Hi Raj,

Maybe a start would be to check our FAQ here about modems:

http://www.exceletel.com/support/faq.htm

There is a link in the modem section on that page, but you should also
read this:

http://www.exceletel.com/support/hardware/VoiceModems/index.htm

Good luck! You might have to learn how to write an INF file and get it
to work. We use true telephony devices or SIP lines, it is just too
much trouble to get a voice modem to work at all, let alone deal with
the limitations if you do get it to work. If you need help, let us
know.
